Left-hand receiver marked “Crown V.R.Enfield 18954 M.E. 303 “. Right-hand receiver marked “Crown V.R. B.S.A & M. Co. 1881 111 1”. Brass roundel to butt marked “V.C.R”. Military disposal marks to frame and butt roundel. Carbine has steel nose cap with no provision for bayonet fitting. Good bore, barrel has been replaced with an S.M.L.E type barrel, good refinished condition with a recoil pad added to butt.
